After a winter hiatus spent in the studio PINES are back with a brand new single “I’ve Been Waiting”, a brooding track that combines the our signature sound of lush strings and ethereal vocals with big beats and dark synth bass to create a dreamy atmosphere that builds to a climatic wall of sound.

The track originated in a Sydney hotel room after the duo travelled there late last year to spend a week mixing in the studio with friend Naderi. It began with nothing but a Japanese koto sample and a bass line but the detail of the finished product creates the otherworldly and evocative feelings that PINES are becoming known for.

Armed with a stack of new material, I’ve Been Waiting will be the 1st of a number of planned singles being unleashed over the remainder of 2018 as they build towards the release of their debut album due in 2019.
